April Wrap Up & May TBR

monthly Wrap up (1)

I had a horrible reading month in April. I finished 2 books and DNF 1. I started 2 others but I haven’t finished them. I’ve kind of been in a funk. I’m in that I want to read everything but also don’t actually want to read anything mood. Hopefully I pick things back up in May.

A Conjuring of Light by V.E Schwab : all the stars in the galaxy

If you have read the Darker Shades of Magic Trilogy, ACoL is an amazing finale adventure in the world of Arnes. It’s probably my favorite ending of a series ever. If for some reason you haven’t read this book or series yet, what are you waiting for?

Freaky Friday by Mary Rodgers : 3/5 stars

I went into this having only seen the Lindsey Lohan version of the movie. I expected it to be different like most book to movie adaptations but still found my self surprised by how different they really are. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it either. It’s a cute, fun read that I feel is more suited for younger readers than myself.

Dorothy Must Die Stories Vol 2 by Danielle Paige : DNF

This follows the stories of Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Lion and how they became the way they are following Dorothy’s return. I didn’t even finish the Tin Mans story to be honest. I couldn’t get into it at all. This is the first book from the series I haven’t finished, and because I’m super curious about the main story I’ll still be reading End of Oz at some point. I’m just unsure if I want to finish the other novellas.

monthly Wrap up (2)

May is my favorite month (it’s my birth month) plus the weather is usually perfect most of the time. I am going to really try and get my library books all read and returned before the month is over. So my TBR for the month is pretty long.

  1. The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood by Howard Pile
  2. Darkly Dreamly Dexter by Jeff Lindsay
  3. The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
  4. The Princess Bride by William Goldman
  5. The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
  6. The Lost Years of Merlin by T.A Barron
  7. Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
  8. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
  9. The Blazing Star by Imani Josey

I am also in the process of reading one of my owned books ( which I do not do often enough) I don’t plan on finishing it this month but I do want to get farther in it. It_cover.jpgI have been looking forward to IT for a long time. IT is my first Stephen King read and it’s insanely long. My husband has been trying to get me to read a King book for the longest time so I’m diving in. Go big or go home right?.

Have you read any of these books? Let me know what you think in the comments. =)
