Goodreads Book Tag

I happened across this tag through Lauren at My Paper Infinity a few days ago and though it would be fun to do. I should probably go through my goodreads and purge some books from it but let’s be real, it’ll end up outta control again.

What was the last book you marked as ‘read’?

30237061I finished this early this morning and I really enjoyed it. A very unique fantasy/mystery about a young girl with special powers who is trying to save her family from an unknown killer.

What are you currently reading?

I am in the middle of 5 books IT, The Fault in Our Stars (re-read), The Sunshine Sisters, Gilded Cage, and This Savage Song. And knowing me I’ll probably start something else before I finish these.

What was the last book you marked as TBR?

I just found this on goodreads and it sounds so good. Here’s a little sneak of the synopsis:
In the summer of 2006, Emma Price watched helplessly as her six-year-old son’s red coat was fished out of the River Ouse. It was the tragic story of the year – a little boy, Aiden, wandered away from school during a terrible flood, fell into the river, and drowned.
His body was never recovered.
Ten years later, Emma has finally rediscovered the joy in life. She’s married, pregnant, and in control again…
… until Aiden returns.

What book do you plan to read next?

I try not to plan what I’m going to read only because every time I do it’s never what I read. I’ve got a ton of library books out so it’ll probably be one of them.

Do you use the star rating system?

Yes. I keep it the basic ratings. 5 = loved it 4 = really liked it 3 = liked it 2 = finished it but didn’t like it 1 = hated it/ DNF but only if I’ve made it more than half way into the book otherwise I wont rate a DNF book.

Are you doing a 2017 reading challenge?

Yes. I set it for 100 books this year. I am currently at 68; 11 books ahead of schedule.

Do you have a wishlist?

A physical/digital one no. I basically just want every book on my tbr and some I’ve already read.

What book do you plan to buy next?

I don’t buy books often. If I buy something it’ll probably be at the sale rack in the library.

Do you have any favorite quotes? Share a few.

“People who claim that they’re evil are usually no worse than the rest of us.. It’s people who claim that they’re good, or any way better than the rest of us, that you have to be wary of.” – Gregory Maguire, Wicked

“You don’t forget the face of the person who was your last hope.” – Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games

“Miracles are statistical improbabilities. And fate is an illusion humanity uses to comfort itself in the dark. There are no absolutes save death.” – Amie Kaufman, Illuminae

Who are your favorite authors?

Everyone. But seriously how do I choose to list… Victoria Schwab, Dan Brown, John Green, Sarah J Maas, Leigh Bardugo, Gregory Maguire, Amanda Foody,  Stephanie Garber, Erin Morgenstern, Laini Taylor, Stephan King, and the list goes on and on and on.

I actually don’t have any listed on my goodreads as favorites. I follow most of them I believe but I always forget about the favorites option.

Have you joined any groups?

I am in so many groups that I’ve lost track. I don’t go in them often or at all in some cases. Sometimes I just accept the group invite so it’ll go away to be honest.

Please tag me and let me know if you do this too! I’d love to see how everyone’s goodreads is going.
