Make Me Read It & Tome Topple Wrap Ups

This past week I took part in the Make Me Read It-athon and Tome Topple, and by took part I mean failed horribly. I have learned my lesson no readathons the week before your kids birthday party.

tenor.gifI have been running around non stop and I really miss my books. Just a few more days until the party is here and then I’ll be able to focus on my books for The Reading Quest Challenge.

So for Make Me Read It I managed to finish one book. I read A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle . I also DNF two of the books I had picked out for the readathon as well The Sunshine Sisters by Jane Green and Gilded Cage by Vic James.

I had a huge TBR planned for Tome Topple which I knew I wouldn’t get too. I  put all of my focus on reading IT by Stephen King and lets just say I’m not even close to being done. I read a total of 176 pages which puts me at just over 300 pages out of 1,142.

Maybe I’ll have better luck next time.

If you participated how did you do?

    1. I just couldn’t get into it. I didn’t get very far so maybe it’s better than I think it is. There wasn’t anything that grabbed my interest when I started it and I think I needed a break from the whole blood line is what makes you important or not trope.

      1. Well, it sounds like it wasn’t exciting enough and had an over used trope. I think I would feel the same way. I will have to compare notes with you if I ever get around to reading it. I hate that it disappointed you! 😦
