Synopsis: “Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.
When mystery man “N” begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it’s Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she’s fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.
Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she’s got is not the one she’s scripted. But will it be enough?
Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.”

From Twinkle, with Love is an amazingly sweet contemporary YA novel. I am starting to think Sandhya is a contemporary goddess. Her characters are relatable, flawed and adorkable.
Her books also have a huge cultural aspect to them and I personally love that.
I know I’m not a teenager by any means but I related to Twinkle with my own feelings in high school. I mean, who didn’t want to fit in then? Now of course I know you should always be yourself and find your people. Those ones whose weird matches yours, who you can be your true self with, whose souls connect with yours. Those friends are who you want no matter how many or few that might be. It’s about quality not quantity.
Twinkle goes through finding herself and finding her friends and learns some important life lessons on the way. Also her grandma is boss. The eccentric family members are always my favorite. They have the best advice. I spent the entire time yelling at Twinkle trying to give her advice but ya know she can’t actually listen so I got frustrated a little with her but she pulls through. Another thing Sandhya does well is make these awesome male leads who are the sweetest most caring dudes, seriously I love Sahil. She just really puts a lot of depth in her characters ALL of them and it’s great.
I can’t forget to mention that Twinkle is a fan of my favorite TV show and those references made me love this even more. If you put Supernatural references in ANYTHING it will increase my love for it exponentially.
I will definitely be reading EVERYTHING she writes. If you haven’t read From Twinkle, with Love or When Dimple Met Rishi you should. I promise you probably won’t regret it. 💚
