Blogtober – Trick or Treat?

Bee over at Bookish Pisces tagged me in her original post titled Trick or Treat, you can find that here. What you do is list some books that either tricked you or books you thought were a treat.

Bad Romance By Heather Demetrios

This book! Oh my god! I can’t stop recommending this book to everyone. I read it in June last year and I’m still reeling. I had no idea what to expect just that a very good friend I trusted recommended it to me and I’m so glad that I did. You can check out my mini review here. This book was Treat and you should read it. TW: for abuse.

Unbreak My Heart by Nicole Jacquelyn

Unbreak My Heart is a new adult contemporary romance and boy it did not disappoint. This is not something I read a lot of so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so good. I read it in one sitting. There are some explicit scenes which I am not a fan of usually but that did not stop me from falling in love with this. I’m still surprised at how much I love this book. It is a treat.

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas

I love the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. A Court of Mist and Fury will be a favorite of mine. Naturally I was ecstatic when this was announced. I would have done anything to get back into this world.  From the moment I started ACOFAS I knew this wasn’t going to work for me. The characters are just so whiny and have one track minds. I am currently just going to keep this as DNF. I might try and pick it up later on just to have the whole series finished. This was a Trick for me.

The Young Elites by Marie Lu

I have heard nothing but amazing things about this series. So naturally I was excited to start it. Very quickly I became bored and I didn’t get better. I made it half way through and I still had no desire to keep reading. I actually did not finish at that point. I just couldn’t keep forcing myself to read. This was definitely a  trick for me.

What are some books that tricked or treated you? If you would like to do this please do and tag us in it. We would love to see your choices.
