Blogtober – Read Around the World

HELLLLOOOO and welcome to my Read Around the World Never Ending List of Countries.

Related image

I have seen this a few times all done in different ways. Personally I think it’s a great idea and it’s something I’ve been trying to do but I haven’t been keeping track or really setting any goals. For me, Reading Around the World will be reading a book by an author born in each country (some may be settings only so please forgive me a head of time.) If there is a book you think I should check out let me know and I’ll add that to my list.

If a book is listed already that means I have read it. I will also include whether it was the setting or the author from the country. If there is a country I should add please let me know. I want to include as many as I can. There are roughly 196 here which should include all of the major countries and territories.

(Please note: I am going to do my best and include as many of the islands that make up Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia.)

Now as long as I keep up with this it should be easy to update. Sometimes I question my sanity when I make stuff like this. Wish me luck. Have a good day!

  1. That is such a great idea. I’ve been trying to expand my reading as well, but it’s so difficult to find books from some countries. Let me know if you’d like recommendations of books from Brazil and Germany 🙂

      1. What do you like to read? From Brazil I love: The Alienist by Machado de Assis, Epitaph of a Small Winner (also translated to The Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas) also by Machado de Assis & The Rogues’ Trial by Ariano Suassuna. 🙂 From Germany my boyfriend loves Goethe’s Faust and I love Cornelia Funke’s books (Inkheart). I just picked up also The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann.
